Filthy little traitors, you all know who I am. But let's pretend to be civil, shall we?
I am Lithium Elemental, or perhaps you know me better as Madame President? I am the one that authorises all that money we use to hunt you little quislings down. So I can't imagine your reading this with anything approaching an open mind, but I'll give you what you never gave me or my family - the benefit of the doubt.

With Jeremiah dead, the focus is on the elder teens who are very close to aging up. In the background I'm also building Nerd influence with Beryllium in the hope of getting Gamer lifted as well. Gamer + Science means Work from Home is open, which makes Workaholic a very useful trait (as opposed to merely nice to have).
It's funny, reading some of your propaganda - oh, be assured, we get it all. We're on your mailing lists, we're in your little cells - we keep tabs. I've been described as a megalomaniac that came straight out of the womb intending to conquer the world.
Of course it didn't happen like that at all. I didn't have a choice - none of us did, until later. The provisional government set us all aptitude tests, and then told us where to show up for work. It wasn't anywhere near as planned or glamorous as your little videos pretend - my first gainful employment was waxing and polishing the podium of the provisional governor before his speeches.
My twin didn't initially get a job at all. Helium sort of followed around the local military marching band - he said he was their official fan -and sort of fell into the life that way, finding a battered guitar and practising the anthems and official marching songs. You think that our music is full of propaganda? How short your memories are - what Helium eventually accomplished deserves to have his name spoken of in the same breath as the best of Mozart or Bach.
It was the same for Boron, who was informed he was now official coffee maker for the state run factory. It's true that Beryllium's talent with electronics was identified early, but even then it was touch and go whether he'd eventually get an appropriate job. They started him off as a button tester.
We none of us were particularly glamorous, back in those days. With Helium and I having inherited mother's iron constitution, we ate the foulest food while leaving whatever fresh food we could scrounge for our brothers. We had little clothing, all of it filthy - none of us had so much as a sink to wash ourselves until well after we'd made our mark on the world.
Many humans confined with little to distract them suffer a form of madness; consider then how much worse if you have cosmic power just out of reach, and you know that if you were just a little less ethical, you could drink deep from a well of power that would doom the world.
There was little time for us to settle in, and certainly no place for love in our marriages. Morally, it was questionable every time we opened the vortex to summon another of our kind - but we had no choice, without a constant supply of untainted power we could never have succeeded.

Both twins have identical traits: Ambitious, Athletic, Genius, Schmoozer, Slob.
Helium has the LTW Illustrious Author (like his Dad), and has the skills Athletics 10, Handiness 2, Logic 10, Painting 1, Writing 5; he ends up in the Music career (and I will of course be going for Symphonic there).
Lithium has LTW Renaissance Sim, and has the skills Athletics 10, Handiness 1, Logic 10, Painting 4, Writing 1. She is in Politics, so it looks like the 3rd skill to aim for will be Charisma.
It is now time to think about the spouse; fortunately Hydrogen has 50k LTR points saved up, so the lamp price is met. But I first want to give them a chance to make friends with their boss. (Bad enough that Graduation Day is unpredictable without throwing in a day off for a wedding too).
A couple of days later Beryllium and Born aged up as well.
Beryllium is Ambitious, Athletic, Easily Impressed, Genius, Workaholic, Computer Whiz (bonus trait from Nerd influence 8). He has Athletics 10, Cooking 3 (tutoring), Logic 10, Painting 2, Writing 4. I give him the Professional Author LTW (which is kind of ambitious really, but it will do).
Boron is Ambitious, Athletic, Friendly, Genius, Workaholic. He has Athletics 10, Cooking 2 (tutoring), Logic 9, Painting 3, Writing 3. I give him The Tinkerer as his LTW (someone has to take over fixing stuff). I decided to hold off on both jobs until I knew when Graduation Day was; they can work on their LTW skills in the interim.
Graduation day turned out to be the very next day, so good work holding off there (fortunately the elder twins were already friends with their respective bosses). So after clearing that I got Beryllium (now at Nerd 10) into the Video Game Developer career, and Boron into Business. It was time to rub the lamp:

It is true that Dominique and I came to care for each other very deeply, but had we not our duty would have been no less important.
Dominique was no better off than any of the rest of us - his first job was as a paper boy. I know what you say of him now, but even the proudest of you have to admit that his carefully crafted opinion pieces are a lot better written than your grubby little journals on the HoloNet.
Mother's trip to the Netherworld bothered all of us. The fact that we intended to bring her back - and did, of course - in no way lessened our grief. I am sure you don't believe our kind can even cry. Believe what you will.

So, clearly male, therefore Lithium is declared the heir. Bada bing, bada boom, and he is freed and married to Lithium. I'm not going to start a family yet, but it's totally legal to get married first - it's just that the spouse's lift doesn't count until the heir is born.
Dominique has 21 days till adulthood, and is Brave, Great Kisser, Loves the Outdoors, Mooch, Virtuoso (so nothing much to write home about). He has no skills, and a LTW of Golden Tongue, Golden Fingers (no chance). Checking the paper, he ends up with Journalism. That's very unfortunate, as it means that I now have three Sims that need the computer. However, a quick check reveals that having cleared Science, I can have multiple computers. That will take a few days, but will solve the problem nicely.

Then there are those of you that consider yourselves moderates. "But Lithium," you say, "if your family were really trying to help, why did Helium become a Conductor? Surely there were more important things to do than learn to play the classics?"
Poor Hydrogen; oh well, at least the narrative is clear that she comes back. (The reason for that, by the way, is that you can wish to resurrect Sims. Seems only fair that genies would do this for their family after the challenge is over).
Look up at the sky, idiots. Do you see the Sun? Thank Helium for that. He is the one that worked out how to play the Song of Spring. If you refuse to accept the truth of history, we cannot help you. We can only hunt you, and protect the populace from your subversive and dangerous lies.
There are two halves of this world. There is the half that is in chains, or wish to be in chains, that you and yours support. Then there are those who are free.
And in the free world, I am in charge.

Symphonic lifted! And Boron has gotten his LTW too. So now wishes can be promised - and I can use telescopes (at night). I'm choosing not to go to spring and winter yet. This all happens on Week 9, Day 7. The day after that, Lithium got Renaissance Sim from her 10th Charisma point.
With Symphonic lifted I go ahead and change Dominique's LTW to Star News Anchor. And in two days, Politics is lifted (Week 10 Day 2). Lithium has 4 days until adulthood. Beryllium lifts Gamer as well.

Fear me.
Crawl into your holes, and pray I never find you. I am not my mother; she only wishes to teach you your errors. Me? I think you've had enough chances.

Traditionally, lifting Politics is followed by a mass restructure of the house, but I'm not going to bother right now. Business is not far from being lifted, and even then without Athletics I can't move things around too much, so it pays to wait for a little while.
It's not that I care about what you try to do to me. It's my children I care about. And I will never forgive any of you for what you attempted to do to them.
Next generation incoming. 5 restrictions lifted (Education, Gamer, Politics, Science, Symphonic) and two more not far away (Boron is Chairman of the Board, though I expect it to take a few more days before he can lift due to the meetings metric; Dominique is a Lead Reporter, though again he has sufficiently average metrics that it might take as much as another week before he gets the lift).
Now that Gamer is unlocked I "cast the Song of Spring" as with computer games it's easy enough to refuel fun without snow angels. And that's a pretty good point to end this entry.
